Happy Sunday! We just finished our first week here at TMT Breakout and I am very happily surprised with the reception so far. Thanks for being here! Let’s get to it:
What happened this week in TMT:
Fun week in TMT land post labor day. While GS and Citi were kind of duds in our opinion ($INTC one of the few interesting bright spots – more on that below), it was an interesting week as the main story in TMT was China announcing $AAPL iPhones ban at Chinese gov’t agencies and SOEs (coupled with news of new Huawei phone getting a good reception and weaker channel checks out of Asia on iPhone 15 builds). This brought down the whole $AAPL supply chain complex, China names, and semis later in the week and gave a bid to internet and software names given their lack of China exposure. $SNOW called out better than expected consumption trends since their Q2 call. $NVDA continues to act weak post-earnings. $PATH ripped on a strong report and good AI commentary, $ROKU gave back most of its gains…
